Airport Assistance Services

Fast Track Assistance

We move you through check-in and security quickly, especially useful around peak departure windows when the compact terminal gets busy.

Meet and Greet

Your greeter meets you right at arrivals or check-in and guides you between the National and International concourses so you always know where you're headed.

Lounge Access

We arrange entry into The Lounge Medellín, The Lounge Medellín International, Avianca Sala VIP, or Copa Club — whichever fits your flight, even without matching airline status.

VIP Airport Assistance

For full privacy, we handle everything from check-in through boarding with dedicated staff alongside you the whole way.

Family & Special Needs

MDE has ramps, electric stairs, and elevators for reduced-mobility travelers — our team coordinates this assistance ahead of time so it's ready when you arrive.

Baggage & Porter Help

Since there are no lockers here, our porters help manage your bags from check-in to gate, or from claim straight to your ride.

Transit Assistance

For connections through Medellín, we handle the walk between concourses and any rebooking support if your schedule changes.

Layover & Connection Tips

  • Arrive with buffer time — 2 hours for domestic flights, 3 hours for international, since the airport does get busy at peak hours.
  • Get a local SIM at Tech Port on Level 1 right after exiting arrivals — a Claro SIM with 12GB runs around COP $85,000.
  • Airport Wi-Fi can be irregular, so be sure to download rideshare apps before you land rather than depending on airport Wi-Fi.
  • Exchange money at the Globo Cambio which operates 24 hours and gives you cash in hand.
  • International arrivals go through Migracion Colombia on Level 1 — most tourists report waiting times that range from 10 minutes to over an hour depending on flight volume.
  • Bring an empty water and fill it after security — airport café prices run high, a tip locals swear by.
  • Eat before you leave the terminal if you're hungry after landing — Level 1 (arrivals) only has a small café and vending machines; the real food court is up on Level 2.
  • The Lounge Medellin International is the only 24-hour lounge, located between Gate 10 and Gate 11
  • There are no lockers or luggage storage, so if you need to rest overnight, consider booking a lounge.
  • Recommended minimum layover: around 2 hours given how compact the terminal is, though allow extra during Migración Colombia peak times.
